Comment #14 on issue 16072 by yahas...@gmail.com: Downloads in incognito mode don't show in Downloads page http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=16072
Not true, the users expect the cookies to remain within the session, as well their ongoing downloads. You could, of course, disable cookies in the incognito mode, but I'm afraid you will get even angrier respones than what you got when you disabled the downloads' tab. The users expect that the same way they surf inside their gmail account in incognito mode, they could monitor their ongoing downloads. Currently, I'm constantly having to work simoultanously with 2 windows - one incognito and one normal which exclusively serves as "downloads window", and I suspect many users who like to download and like their privacy are as disappionted as I am. Another solution to this problem could be making the distinction between normal and incognito in the tab level instead of the window level, but also in this case the user will have to open new normal tab in order to be able to monitor his oncoing downloads. -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
