Comment #9 on issue 20960 by gutbusterbrigade: Images not loading all the time on Google Chrome http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=20960
Same problem here. Many broken image icons on pages with lots of images from different hosts. Imageboards with lots of images being loaded from the same source load with no problems, but say, Fark threads or other forum threads with lots of images have most of the images not being loaded. Multiple refreshes does not help - it merely randomizes which images are broken. The larger the number of images/hosts, the worse the problem. For instance, http://www.fark.com/cgi/comments.pl?IDLink=4641408&cpp=1 has only a handful of images loading. In the previous example URL, Firefox loads the page with no broken image icons, and IE8 with very few, although both take quite a while to completely load. Chrome has about 60% broken image icons, and finishes loading in a few seconds, though all of the broken images can be loaded in a new tab just fine. However, this is very annoying. Until you are able to track down this apparently user-dependent bug, perhaps you could add a "Show Image" option to the right-click context menu on broken image, like Firefox and IE do. The use of OpenDNS did not resolve the problem for me. -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
