Comment #3 on issue 22082 by Lord.Of.The.Undeads: network proxy settings regression in Chrome 3? http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=22082
Hello, I have this problem: previously chrome 2.x.x.x worked fine, then I installed version 3.0.195.21 now every time I start chrome by clicking the icon on desktop I cant load any page. All i get is a tab loading forever, http://img43.imageshack.us/img43/1659/spinning.jpg or after a while I get a frozen tab: http://img43.imageshack.us/img43/6788/frozeni.jpg But If i go in Internet Explorer and I click on this link in the history: http://dl.google.com/update2/1.2.183.7/GoogleInstaller_en.application?appguid%3D%7B8A69D345-D564-463C-AFF1-A69D9E530F96%7D%26iid%3D%7B127D2DAB-F80E-FA77-185D-21696033F426%7D%26lang%3Den%26browser%3D2%26usagestats%3D0%26appname%3DGoogle%2520Chrome%26needsadmin%3Dfalse then google chrome installer start, and when installation is completed Chrome is launched automatically and then chrome 3.0.195.21 work fine, until I close it. If I try to start it again by clicking on the chrome icon on desktop then i get the problem: no page loaded. Experiment 1: if I navigate to about:version i get this: http://img43.imageshack.us/img43/3793/aboutfrozen.jpg tab is frozen... but from the menu I can see version is 3.0.195.21 http://img38.imageshack.us/img38/9748/versiony.jpg I start it without command line flag, but I tried --winhttp-proxy-resolver and this dont work for me, problem is still here. ("C:\Documents and Settings\Marina\Impostazioni locali\Dati applicazioni\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" --winhttp-proxy-resolver) Experiment 2, proxy settings dialog look like this: http://img38.imageshack.us/img38/562/lanmf.jpg Experiment 3 chromium has the same problem: http://img17.imageshack.us/img17/3787/chromium.jpg and http://img17.imageshack.us/img17/7739/chromiumnet.jpg but if I start chrome with the installer trick i get: http://img17.imageshack.us/img17/5630/chromenet.jpg and http://img200.imageshack.us/img200/1725/chromenetnoav.jpg Internet Explorer an Firefox, they work fine, firefox settings: http://img17.imageshack.us/img17/7886/firefoxproxyo.jpg I hope this can help -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
