I have been ware of this problem for a long time. However, it seems that the chrome team does not take this as a emergent case, or is waiting for more responses. I think most of the customers using hd are working-people, their commercial computers are well serviced by windows and ie8. Ie8 provides this function. So we see few complain about the this problem here. However, i have to point that I think the main stream of the monitors is changing quickly from low- to high-definition display world-widely.
