What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Enable spaces
2. Open one chrome window in space 1
3. Open two chrome windows in space 2
4. Attempt to drag the tab of one of those windows into the other (i.e.,
attempt to merge the windows)
What is the expected result?
Tab should hover over the menu bar of the other window, showing you
where it will be placed when dropped
What happens instead?
Control is switched to space 1, and the tab you are holding comes with it.
Merging the two windows in space 2 is impossible because it keeps
switching to space 1 when you try.
Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if
possible.
This seems to be affected by the position of the windows, maybe by their
zoom (full-screen), and possibly by the fact that I have an external monitor
plugged in. I can merge two windows in space 2 in the secondary monitor,
but I can't move a tab into the window in the primary monitor in space 2.
A screen shot of the transition is hard to show. I've attached a "before and
after" set of shots. Picture 3 is the screen on space 2 just before moving
the
tab up to the menu bar of the zoomed window. Picture 4 is the screen on
space 1 just after moving the tab up to the menu bar, complete with space
switcher to show that the space just changed.
