Linux version of Google Chrome is causing kernel panic. I'm using Chrome DEV for Linux in Ubuntu 9.04 with kernel version 2.6.28-15-generic. After few seconds running (like 30 or 40 seconds) the keyboard leds "Caps" and "Scroll" starts to blink and the entire system freezes (Probably Kernel Panic). It happens both on KDE 4.3.2 and Gnome. Not sure how to obtain more details about this. Chrome Version : 4.0.222.5-r28804 OS + version : Ubuntu 9.04 32-bit w/ kernel 2.6.28-15-generic CPU architecture (32-bit / 64-bit): 32-bit window manager : KDE 4.3.2 and Gnome URLs (if applicable) : Seems to happen with every site. Behavior in Firefox 3.x (if applicable): Ok. Behavior in Chrome for Windows (optional): Ok. What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Open Google Chrome for Linux. 2. Browse any site for few seconds. 3. Entire system locks up with blinking keyboard leds. What is the expected result? Should not freeze the system. What happens instead? Appearent Kernel Panic. Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot and backtrace if possible. Did not happened before. Don't know if it was a Chrome update or a Ubuntu update tha triggered the problem. Here's a slice of my /proc/cpuinfo: vendor_id : GenuineIntel cpu family : 6 model : 15 model name : Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU 4400 @ 2.00GHz Not sure how to obtain more information. -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
