Chrome Version : 4.0.222.12 (Official Build 29069) URLs (if applicable) : Other browsers tested: Firefox 3.5b4: OK IE 8: NO Opera 10: OK What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. download and install a binary from http://download.java.net/jdk7/binaries/ 2. open http://java.com/en/download/installed.jsp?detect=jre&try=1 3. observe the result What is the expected result? the applet should inform the user that the java runtime version 1.7.0-ea is installed. What happens instead? Chrome prompts to Get the plugin, and takes the user to install Java for Chrome (jre 1.6u16). Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if possible. Yes, I know, Java7 isn't supported officially, but I haven't seen any open tickets/bugs/issues for it either.
