Comment #24 on issue 17689 by tikitdo: No autoscroll on linux http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=17689
My apologies for spamming a bug report with this, but I feel it is relevant to the discussion. @12: I'm sorry, but this is exactly the attitude that is keeping Linux from being popular on the desktop. I understand that traditionally Linux browsers have exhibited different behavior, but there comes a time when such traditions must be sacrificed to make way for progress. Clearly this specific issue is already been resolved, but I believe that even the existence of such a discussion signifies that there must be a fundamental change in direction. Developers must accept that some of their favorite features must either be sacrificed, or relegated to a runtime option in favor of a more user friendly approach. -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
