Comment #4 on issue 25059 by [email protected]: SSL Cert incorrectly(?)
called 'invalid'
http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=25059
This bug is more than the inability to examine the bad certificate.
The problem with https://ecommerce.amga.org/iMISPublic/ is that
the server doesn't send the intermediate certificate, so Chrome and
Firefox cannot construct a complete certificate chain. Firefox
reports the expected SEC_ERROR_UNKNOWN_ISSUER error, but Chrome
gets the SEC_ERROR_BAD_SIGNATURE error from the CERT_PKIXVerifyCert
function, which Chrome maps to "invalid certificate".
I filed NSS bug 524013 (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=524013)
to investigate this.
