I'm puzzled. Why is it that Safari and Firefox (to name but two  
competitors) have
"block third party cookies" options that don't seem to break access to  
Gmail or other
websites but Chrome's setting does break things? This is clearly  
inconveniencing a
number of people. See, for instance,
