http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=25752
Chrome Version : 3.0.195.27
URLs (if applicable) :
Other browsers tested:
Add OK or FAIL after other browsers where you have tested this issue:
Safari 4:
Firefox 3.x:
IE 7: OK
IE 8: OK
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Enable case-sensitive searching
2.
3.
What is the expected result?
Enable ability to find text more easily with case-sensitive searching.
Perhaps add a little space below the search tab, where the a 'Search case'
checkbox can be implemented
What happens instead?
Users have to spend extra time going through excess search results when it
would be easier to find a specific result by case
Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if
possible.
Attached is a link of all the banks in the US. Lets say You wanted to
search for banks in Massachusetts, using the term MA.
On that page, 'MA' appears 981 times. This is a perfect example of why
case-sensitive is good. This screenshot alone shows the importance of this
feature. While it may not be used always, having it is a helpful and non-
intrusive feature.
