Comment #12 on issue 3975 by brianphilbrook: sometimes instead of rendered page only white screen is seen http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=3975
I have the same issue. I am running chromium 4.0.226.0 (Ubuntu build 30050) with Jaunty on an Asus EeePC 1000. Everything used to run fantastically (and fast) a few weeks ago, then things changed over time. When I load pages in the background as a new tab (esp script heavy pages: news sites, facebook, myspace, etc.), two big problems happen: 1) White screen appears on the loading page after load is complete, and only when I click reload or click to close the tab does the page suddenly appear completely rendered. 2) While loading the background page, the foreground page is rather unusable, with excruciatingly slow movement (if at all) and no ability to click links. None of this happened before a few weeks ago. Incidentally, the browser has been moving much slower in general in the last few weeks. It is Chromium, so it's getting an update every day or two. It used to run very fast, and besides general ubuntu updates I really have not done anything to the system or softwares. I'm not using any proxys that I know of. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!! -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
