It did not pause on exception. It failed on exception. How do you expect execution to continue after an error? Expected: You should see stack to the right with call frames, execution line marked. DevTools window should be brought to front. Resume button should get enabled. To repro on Safari, when you open inspector, in Scripts panel enable "Pause on exceptions" that is On by default in Chrome. Litle "pause" button in the buttom of the screen.
