I was unable to repro on Google Chrome 4.0.237.0 (Official Build 31086) even though I'm also on XP SP3. I'll go download your version and try it. Can you bring up the Chrome task manager (shift-esc) and repro again? When you've got it reproduced, please take a screenshot of the Chrome task manager.
