This happens to me too, but I'm running Windows Vista. This is especially annoying becuase when I quit Chrome one process stays running usually using up to 68% of my processor speed. I can actually hear the processor "thinking" I have to force quit chrome with the task manager to use my computer normally. Also chrome is super slow when I use it.
