The CFEqual crashes shared between TabStripController and StatusBubbleMac
did not
appear in 4.0.223.11. They began occurring in 4.0.229.1.
4.0.223.11 used tab_strip_controller.mm r28966 and status_bubble_mac.mm
r28749.
4.0.229.1 used tab_strip_controller.mm r30507 and status_bubble_mac.mm
r28749
(no change).
status_bubble_mac.mm r28749 was the revision that introduced animations.
I'm
comfortable eliminating it as a suspect for now.
In r29531, tab_strip_controller.mm, tab drag animations changed.
(http://codereview.chromium.org/306006). That looks like the likely
culprit.
Tom suggests that something may be going wrong with anything using an
NSAnimationContext because of the shared nature of some of the internals.
We're
looking at http://codereview.chromium.org/390014 as a possible fix for one
way
that this might manifest.
