Comment #6 on issue 23561 by [email protected]: Not able to download directly via Chrome Frame http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=23561
Regular downloads are now done in the host browser. Three problems however remain. 1) If a download goes to the host browser via a redirect (i.e. does not go through Chrome's download mechanism), the download dialog does not gain focus but will pop up behind the host browser, flashing in the task bar. Downloads that go through Chrome's download manager won't have that problem (part of the r3302 fix). 2) Downloads that are done with a new window redirect pop up a chrome window and the download does not go to the host browser. An example of this is http://apple.com/itunes/download. To reproduce set OptInUrls to http://apple.com/*. 3) Downloads that go through chrome download manager can sometimes complete the entire download before the notification that the file needs to be download is done. The user experience is obviously pretty poor in this case since it results in the download dialog only being shown at the end. -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
