Comment #21 on issue 17443 by rfdparker2002: Support Gears on Linux http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=17443
I agree with djzero4 - this situation is a bit stupid - the Chromium devs, the majority of whom I presume are employed by Google, are claiming there's no point implementing Gears support, as everybody will very soon be going the HTML5 native offline storage-route, yet Google still only support gears on their flagship web apps. It must be a little confusing for new users - using a Google-produced browser but being told you don't have Gears, then being told it's not supported on the browser your using. So some part of Google needs to make a move soon - either gets Gears into Chromium for Linux, or add HTML5 offline storage support to your web apps. -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
