OK, it works for me, too. The problem was not with the profile, it was because we were (manually) overwriting the folder instead of extracting Chromium into a new folder. I guess the old split files (JSs, for example) were interrupting it and causing these issues. Since we are not overwriting the folder in a regular installation, but creating a different folder instead, that should not reproduce on a regular Chrome release.
