This still happens very much. 4.0.249.30 (Official Build 33928) How this looks to me: there are several tabs in the same renderer process. Something gets stuck in this process and the tab changes from being shown rendered to being shown completely white. All tabs in the same renderer look white. The renderer is not crashed, and the pages are loaded completely. I open the new renderer (with Ctrl+N) and open the same page (by pasting the URL) - it loads and shows completely fine. I have to either kill the previous renderer or close the tabs of it. The renderer doesn't look responsive; after some time (like 15-30 seconds, really quite a long time) the "unresponsive pages" pop-up might show up suggesting to kill the renderer.
