Same issue here... I did have Xmarks installed, but tried to go back to the built-in sync when I totally abandoned Firefox... here is my about:sync. I know you guys are trying to protect people from screwing stuff up in Google Docs, but there really needs to be a way to purge the bookmarks out of there to prevent this endless duplication cycle.
