Comment #24 on issue 28382 by sembiance: Linux Anti Aliasing http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=28382
I too have anti-aliased blurry fonts in chrome but not anywhere else including Firefox and Opera. I just built the latest chromium from source: Chromium: 4.0.283.0 (Developer Build 35284) WebKit: 532.8 All the UI elements are correct. Only the page contents are anti-aliased/blurry. I'm running Gentoo Linux with the 'icewm' Window system. I downloaded the xsettingsd code, compiled it. Running 'dump_xsettings' fails with error: "No current owner for _XSETTINGS_S0 selection" Still, I created ~/.xsettingsd and put in it: Xft/Antialias 0 No luck. In Summary: Both Firefox and Opera are correctly rendering all UI and page text. So there does not appear to be fault with my system settings. Chrome is correctly rendering the UI elements. Chrome incorrectly blurs the page text. Are there any debug flags I can turn on? Can I change any chrome src and re-compile to get more details as to what may be wrong? -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
