I am a volunteer preview tester for updates to Wolfram Alpha. There is a
special password protected sub domain of wolframalpha.com that we use to
test new updates of wolfram alpha. The people at W.A. record the results
we receive and use the information to fine tune the updates. It is
basically the same as using the main W.A. site except we have consented to
have our results recorded so that the main site can be bettered. I'm not
allowed to give out my username or password so you may have to investigate
this on another similar site. Here is the problem I go to the test site in
chrome and a box pops up asking for my username and password. I enter it
and hit OK. Then the box just resets and it does not let me in to the site
no matter how many times I enter my information. If I hit cancel it gives
me this error message

"Authorization Required

This server could not verify that you are authorized to access the document
requested. Either you supplied the wrong credentials (e.g., bad password),
or your browser doesn't understand how to supply the credentials required."

However, when I try to access the site in firefox it lets me in without a
problem.
