thegordo.john: the certificate policy related extensions in the certificate chain look correct, so I don't know why NSS reports SEC_ERROR_POLICY_VALIDATION_FAILED. Did you use the NSS tool 'certutil' to add the "DoD Root CA 2" certificate to your $HOME/.pki/nssdb by any chance?
