Comment #9 on issue 29939 by DickKarpinski: Very high CPU usage when
viewing Flash content
http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=29939
Using Mac OS X 10.6.2 on 1.83 FHz Core Duo w/ Chrome 4.0.288.1 dev even
when
the video image is idle one helper is using 40-50% of one cpu and another
uses
another 5-15% while I wait for the Foresight conference to resume as I watch
http://www.techzulu.com/live.html
I wish there were a way to find from a process ID the particular tab number
or title.
I wish there were a way to make non foreground tabs be suspended by default
and
perhaps even just listed in a suspended tabs tab until revived by a click
into normal
tab-hood.
I note from the source of the page that any of several video viewers may be
involved
and there seems to be a lot of ajax as well, but I can't extract much
information I can
be confident of.
