OK.
1) is by design. We wanted a specific match on -dev because dev is pretty
general and
can appear as a substring of other words.
2) I'm not sure how the update mechanism uses the ap key, but I wouldn't be
surprised
if the server is using it to lookup and since the string is random it
thinks there is
no update.
