No I don't think it would be possible for you to build Google Chrome branded Chromium. Instead I would suggest that you install both Google Chrome and your custom build of Chromium on your friend's machine. Google Chrome will automatically keep updating (while Chromium obviously will not) and she can switch to it whenever she wants to.
