Actually you can work on Chrome using git; it just takes a bit more
work to get it set up, and you have to use special commands to push or
pull. But IMHO it's worth the up-front cost.
You should probably decide beforehand whether to use git or SVN, since
the two checkouts aren't compatible, so switching from one to the
other requires a lengthy download.
