Hi, if you import your Firefox bookmarks into Chrome, Chrome will recognise keywords that are in those bookmarks and go to those pages whenever you type the keywords. I've been doing this, using gm for Gmail, fb for Facebook, we for my Weather.com page, etc.
What Chrome needs (and I'm sure will get soon) is a text box in the edit bookmarks dialog box which lets you edit the keyword. The keywords are stored in %AppData%\..\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data \Default\Web Data. This file is an Sqlite3 database, you can browse it using an Sqlite client (if you know your way around that) or a graphical Sqlite database browser like the Sqlite browser add-on for Firefox. I know this isn't very helpful for a new user looking to make keywords. Hopefully this gets fixed soon! Am browsing the bug database now....
