Gmail has rocked so hard since I've been using Chrome and since every little update has enabled me to use the browser on practically every site I go to (except Netflix--get on the train!) the little application shortcut mode that enables a simple browser window for web apps like Gmail and Twitter has become invaluable and keeps me on the browser.
I was wondering that instead of having the application reside on the main bar for Windows, that if it could be possible to minimize to tray, much like the extensions for Firefox and Thunderbird allow you to minimize those programs to the tray. Displaying the Gmail icon (or whatever site is being application-like-ized) and perhaps even using Gears for something like notifications of new mail, new document revisions (with Google Docs), new content, etc. I know it's not an easy task, but how viable would that be? --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Chromium-discuss" group.
