I, as well as most people, prefer the more customizable browsers. I'm a huge fan of Firefox in this aspect; however, I prefer the cleaner, less in-my-face feel of Google Chrome. Hopefully in the future we can see some more of this (hopefully I haven't overlooked these things while searching for them). Also, I'm obviously no Java Guru or anything so I have no idea how easily attainable these requests are, if they are even possible.
I like the idea of an incognito window and read a post about having an incognito tab instead. I'd like to take this a step further and request an option to make the browser completely incognito. If you didn't want this option you wouldn't choose it, and you still be offered the choice of an incognito window (or as I prefer an incognito tab). I would love to see all sorts of add-ons for Chrome, such as the likes that Firefox has to offer. You could include toolbars for popular sites such as: MySpace, Facebook, Photobucket, Flickr, Twitter, Blogger, and any other site I can't think of at this moment. Similarly, I think it would be great if you could possibly create a chat option between Google Chrome users. It could be called ChromeIM even. It would basically allow me to add users to my friends list so long as they have Google Chrome. Then, when both parties are running Chrome, we could chat in a little side bar. This would be like having MSN Messenger built into your web browser, which would really help with having multiple windows open during computer sessions. One thing that I think would be easily changeable, yet make a big difference, is the ability to change the color of that blue bar up on top (that thing right there). I like the blue, and it's a great unisex choice, but I would like to see an option to change it to many different colors, my favorite being pink. Maybe there could be a place to download themes to add little designs or pictures as well as color schemes. Heck, why not make an option to download ones that match the holiday Google homepage designs we've all grown to love. But then again, this is making the subtle browser a little less subtle. I still think the color-changing idea is a good one, though. I would love it if there was some way we could create our very own buttons for the toolbar. Maybe it could come as a separate download (some Google Chrome Button Editor or something) and allow us to create buttons that follow the same general scheme as the window. These buttons would have an image chosen by the creator and have a destined link, also chosen by the creator. To make things better, I think there should be the option of, on button click, whether to open the link in the current tab or open the link in a separate tab. This option would of course be a predetermined event rather than choosing every time you activate the button. I would even like to see some Google preset buttons come with this idea, such as Google Web, Google Images, Google Maps, Google News, Google Shopping, Google Mail, and all the other various Google utilities that have been created to make life a little easier. Well I'm all out of ideas for now but I will add to the list as I think of them. Thanks to Google for another great tool and the means to make life a little easier. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Chromium-discuss" group.
