Hi. I used to be a WindowsXP user. However after Vista comming in and
XP continuously needing registry scrubbing, anti-virus scanning and so
on, I switched to Linux. Currently I'm using Fedora 10 Cambridge. And
I am very proud and happy of my Linux box. And now I have no-windows
what so ever. I have been using Firefox which still has memory leaks
and so on and my computer being slow sometimes kills itself just to
keep up.
Before the switch from WindowsXP to Linux I had the honor, nay the
privilege to use Google Chrome. I must say I was very happy with it.
And I learned that there is no Google Chrome for Linux. I was
heartbroken, bed ridden, sobbing all day and night. I did not know
what to do. I installed Wine in hopes it will help me install Chrome
but nay. It was not possible. The program (Chrome installer) shut
itself down each time it tried to install itself. I tried downloading
the source code to re-build it for Linux and maybe giving back to the
community. However I am more of an Electronics Engineer (student) than
I am a programmer. I couldn't make heads nor tails of the code.
Another dead end for John and his endeavors for a Linux Google Chrome
browser.
Ever since I have been thinking on contacting the people who wrote
Google Chrome and beg for them to write a Linux version. I will even
except if it works even in Wine.(Although doing that will be very very
wrong in so many different ways ways.)
Please! Google Chrome Coders! I really really really really want a
Google Chrome for Linux. If there is already a way to install one in a
Linux box just point me to the right direction I would be thankful. If
there is no way you can port Google Chrome than I am begging you in
the name of all Linux users...
PLEASE CODE A CHROME FOR
LINUX!!!
