DiggBar StumbleUpon I think you can see where i am going. While such a system would be great, it would require much more resources to be put towards it. Plus, it would also need some moderation if anyone is to access it, unless you want it to become "Usenet 2.0".
This would be an ideal future evolution of the Web as a whole, but for now, it is more effort than it is worth. (hate saying that) There are already communities out there that do such things, let them do this, evolve with time then come together and create a unified community where people are more likely to self-moderate.
