I want customizable notifiers for: Email, Calendar reminders, Instant messages, RSS posts, Social networking post, Microblog post. (hereafter reffered to as "1")
I also need to have a choice of providers for: Bookmarks, Passwords, Contacts, OpenID, Photo managment, File management. (hereafter reffered to as "2") This stuff should be in the options, not in some extension. And it should be somehow (discretely) baked into the chrome UI. So lets say I am installing chrome (in the future) for the first time. On my first run all I see is your little blue or colored pokemon-ball- like logo. It rolls in and opens graphically from the middle of my desktop. When it opens it exposes a screen that gives me these options [Guest Mode] [Login] [Setup] Guest mode launches chrome just like a normal first run. Setup takes me through a wizard that lets me chose my email provider, then enter my credentials. It asks if I want to use same credentials for providers who offers other services (like Google). This wizard helps me set up "1" and I can chose whichever provider I want for any of these. Then it ask me who I want to use for "2" with the same open- ness. Once I have this setup the prefferences and settings along with any extensions I install in the future are remembered on a server. The next time I run chrome from anywhere all I have to do is log-in. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ Chromium Discussion mailing list: [email protected] View archives, change email options, or unsubscribe: http://groups.google.com/group/chromium-discuss -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
