For completeness, here's a list of most window/tab opening
combinations:

left-click = default link action
shift + left-click = New window (/opposite of default action?)
ctrl + shift + left-click = New foreground-tab
shift + middle-click = New foreground-tab
middle-click = New background tab
ctrl + middle-click = New background-tab
ctrl + left-click = New background-tab

Or something like that. Your configuration will likely affect what
your outcome will be, but that's what I get.
