If you, like me, use bookmarks to store research material or simply
save sites for later reading, wouldn't it be useful if the actual
CONTENTS of Bookmarks were stored LOCALLY?  I'm not sure if this is
something Gears would do, but I think this would ADD a great scope of
FUNCTIONALITY to Chrome.

If bookmarks were stored locally one could do things like:

- HIGHLIGHT text in the page contents
- ANNOTATE web pages directly
- give NOTEBOOK functionality to Bookmarks

Please let me know if there is something like this in the works or if
this is something you would also find useful.
