I agree - when choosing multiple links from a list, e.g. search
results in Google, it's a big pain in the neck and distracting for
each tab I open to steal focus.
Please revert to the old way asap.

As a workaround in the meantime, we can still use CTRL + CLICK to open
links as a new tab in the background :-)
