I think automatic plugin installation is not supported for Chromium,You should put the NPAPI DLL in the Chromium "plugins" directory (in the folder Chrome.exe lies in) by yourself, see if it recognizes it then. (Since I already installed Google Chrome here, Chromium recognizes all of the plugins Google Chrome does. At least, it seems so.)
