does Subscribe in Google Reader sample extension (http:// dev.chromium.org/developers/design-documents/extensions/samples) work for you? For me the RSS icon appears, but nothing happens when you click on it, only "click to subscribe..." bubble appears on hover. Does not know if it is bug of extension or chrome, so i did not report it
