Hi all,
This is going to be a long post so apologies beforehand.
First of the message which Phistuck sent to me sometime back as a
backgrounder to the points and questions I have .

Since these are like two different applications (Google Chrome and
Chromium), you can have them side by side, simply execute the
downloaded Chromium binary.

There is no official automatic way, or a fully automated way.
There is, however, a Chromium Updater, which is semi automatic -
http://forums.tlokzz.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=3.
It is a Windows only tool, I am not sure you are on Windows.
(All of this information is regarding Windows, do not know about Linux\Mac)

Now I am writing using chromium so yay :) .

There are few points which I wanna make for chromum :-

a. It took bookmarks and stuff from Internet Explorer and not Google Chrome
b. The trunk versions seem to be an half-hourly exercise. There
doesn't seem to be a changelog in what the hourly contains or needs to
be tested for.

I have couple of queries for google updater as well but found out its
an unofficial client and there is no e-mail id on the site :(
