Hello again, I got a problem with characters from japanese and other languages.Any webpages that contains such characters just shows little squares. I have tried changing the Page encoding to several different ones and nothing changed sometimes it gets worst. I have chrome with "Auto detect" checked in the encoding options. and UTF8 by default.
The funny thing is that this problem displaying characters only happen on the webpages, characters are correctly displayed in any other location in chrome, like Tab titles, menus and etc. by example when I select a portion of those characters (displayed as squares in the html render) and I right click this text the "Search in google for 'text text text' " option also displays those characters correctly. So any directions on how to solve this? maybe the General UI of chrome uses certain Type libraries which works correctly and the Webkit based portion of chrome in charge of rendering HTML uses a different set of libraries for types.
