I just tried again following your exact steps including "8. Then after a minute try to see..." also using r25866 and everything still works fine for me without problems.
Shirish, there is a slight difference between your results and that of http://crbug.com/7447 The original post for Issue 7447 describes "What happens instead? When normal [font size] is selected, the font size is set to Small." What you describe is "font-size where it is at, its again showing 'Large' as ticked rather than 'Normal' " The original post says Courier New Normal font is getting set to Small. Are you getting it set to Large? I have not been able to reproduce it. Perhaps file a new bug for it and post your reproduction steps? In the bug report you should probably clearly state that it is _not_ a duplicate of Issue 7447.
