Currently, this is the situation, yes, Chrome 3 was released just a day or two ago, so the Beta and Stable channels are identical.Also, if you have been on the Dev channel before you installed the Beta version, Chrome will not update itself until the version of the Beta channel overcomes the version of the Dev channel you had installed.
