I am experiencing same on my Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit , 4 GB RAM,
Chrome 4.0.222.12, Chrome Guestures 1.2.2, Drag 'n Go 1.2.3, Sticky
Notes 1.2
Chrome is eating up my RAM even when browser is idle. Currently main
browser process has 400MB with 7 tabs with regular pages opened. Seen
it on 700MB before. Then from time to time Chrome crashes.
When Chrome is idle for some time and I return back and try to refresh
any of tabs it takes 100% CPU and gives up and states that tab is
unresponsive...
Also Chrome is using too much of my CPU all the time when idle as
well. Constantly 7% at the moment.
I am hoping everyday that there will be new version which will
suddenly fix all those problems, but I am waiting too long now... So I
am abandoning Chrome and going back to Maxthon 2 and waiting for
Maxthon 3 to come.
I am very sad to give up on Chrome...
