So I use a lot of crappy email web clients for work, and most of them
do not have the option to simply carrot the reply, like MS's outlook
web access. So its a huge pain to try to reply to emails with lots of
information in them. I am trying to figure out how to write an
extension that simply allows me to add scripts to run over selected
text. Ideally i would be able to select a bunch of stuff and right
click it, and in the menu where it says copy/paste i can run my custom
script that runs awk/sed or whatever.

So is there a way to change the right click menu? and how do i get a
reference to the selected text? I apologize if these questions are
stupid, but i am completely new to javascript and browser development

Thanks,
Anatoly
