I am using Chrome 4.0.223.16. During extension development I am loading the extension manually from the chrome://extensions/ page. I create a background page and I am using document.cookie from within it. If I just close Chrome then the cookie is not saved. I see this both by rerunning the extension and manually by looking at "Extension Cookies".
