Earlier I mentioned about an experiment I did regarding notes syncing
using the bookmarks syncing mechanism of Chrome.

The experiment is live as a mini extension:
https://chrome.google.com/extensions/detail/ffbhefmlcoihbjcmibbfkocmnaiacinp

Though it required some effort and tricks, the thing does work fine,
though as you may point out, bookmark syncing is not meant to be used
this way - and I totally agree with that.

My point is that the potentials of an API allowing developers - using
the the same principle and model of bookmarks syncing - to sync data
(options, raw data e.t.c) across Chrome installations are both
numerous and exciting.

Hopefully, Google guys will get there somewhere soon.
