Thank you for the response. I guess I should start at the beginning. I loaded chukwa as part of trying to get Intel's HiTune package to work. So in other words, I don't know what the CFTA adaptor is and/or what it's trying to do. Do you have time for a little hand holding in terms of what you're suggesting I do?

The adaptor has unregistered from agent, but the thread is trying to finish tailing the file but unable to finish because new data are coming. There are two ways to avoid this, either rename the log file to allow the threads to finish, or use "stop" command when unregistering from agent. This will force adaptor to stop rather than finishing the file. Hope this helps. regards, Eric On Sat, Feb 18, 2012 at 6:04 AM, Hoot Thompson <[email protected]> wrote: > Can someone explain the following warning message that appears in the > agent log..... > > 2012-02-18 09:00:23,689 WARN HTTP post thread ChukwaAgent - got commit > up to > 2944 for adaptor escaped newline CFTA-UTF8 that doesn't appear to be > running: 15 total
