I am looking forward to this book -- I've written fictionally about this
episode in history with those individuals as characters -- but it will have
to go a considerable distance to exceed Robert Sherwood's eye-witness
account *Roosevelt and Hopkins: An Intimate History* (Harper, 1948, 979
pp.), which won the Pulitzer Prize for biography in 1949. Also valuable if
thin at 91 pp. is Matthew B. Wills' *Wartime Missions of Harry L.
Hopkins*(Pentland Press, 1996).
