In this morning's newspaper is a picture of a Daimler DB 18 Drophead Coupe in a
showroom in Enger, Germany. It appears to be a convertable. Apparently, it is
the only one of its kind left, and is alleged to have been used by Winston
Churchill between 1944 and 1949 and is being sold on the internet auction site
eBay. To me, it appeared to be too cramped for Churchill, whether he was
driving or a passenger. I took a quick look in a couple of books before
heading off to work that mentioned that he did briefly own a two-seat Daimler,
but it is described as a different model and that he quickly traded it in for a
four-seat version. Is this auto up for auction a legitimate Churchill artifact?
